Maritime Computer Vision Workshop @ CVPR 2026

Challenges

MaCVi 2026 features five benchmark challenges and one generalist meta challenge. Emphasis is on accuracy and embedded real-time feasibility.

Challenges Overview

Vision-to-Chart Data Association Challenge

Identify visible buoys and match them with their corresponding chart markers.
Thermal Object Detection Challenge

Detect vessels and navigational objects in thermal infrared imagery under daylight, night-time and low-visibility conditions.
Prize: the top team will win an NVIDIA RTX 5080.
LaRS Panoptic Segmentation Challenge

Parse the scene captured from the viewpoint of a USV into "stuff" classes and "thing" object instances.
Embedded Semantic Segmentation Challenge

Segment a maritime image from the viewpoint of a USV in real-time on an embedded device
Prize: the top team stands to win $500 worth of Luxonis devices
Multimodal Semantic Segmentation Challenge

Segment a maritime image using RGB, thermal camera and LIDAR data.
Generalist Meta Challenge

Evaluates cross-task generalization. Details coming soon.
