Google Analytics across macvi.org

Only with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand visits across the public macvi.org website, including the homepage, workshop and challenge information, community pages, datasets and leaderboards. On the Industry directory, we also measure filter use and clicks to company websites. Rejecting analytics does not affect access to the website.

Until you accept, no Google Analytics script is loaded and no analytics requests are sent. Analytics is not installed on login, registration, team, paper, upload or administration pages. We do not send account details, form contents, company-search text, URL query parameters or full referring-page addresses to Analytics. External referrers are limited to their origin.

After acceptance, Google receives a pseudonymous browser identifier, page and event information, browser/device information and network information, including your IP address during transmission. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google Signals.

Your consent is the basis for optional analytics and its cookies. The _ga and _ga_* cookies identify your browser and session and expire after at most 180 days. Individual event data is retained in Analytics for two months; aggregate reports can remain longer. Our macvi.analyticsConsent.v2 browser-storage entry remembers your choice for 180 days. The previous Industry-only consent is not reused for site-wide analytics.

Change your choice

Use Analytics settings in the footer of any public page at any time. Rejecting after acceptance stops further collection and removes this site's Analytics cookies. It does not erase data already collected by Google. Choices are stored separately in each browser and hostname.

Essential website functions

Login sessions and information you submit for challenge participation are separate from optional analytics. Declining analytics does not disable those essential functions.
